We always complain, including myself about how local media aint looking out for hip hip but when avenues rise up and we given the chance to request tracks lets use em.Lemme just mention an let yall know what to do.

This a quick one for artists,Established artists, the alternative to you putting out yo tracks online and social media, you can send thru yo tracks to metro fm and have it played on the Avenue with Glen and Unathi for the Never Heard before. Also The Hot Hip Hop 99, with Siz requires you to send thru track to music@yfm.co.za or take the disk personally to the jhb studios and mark it for his attention, theres also online hip hop magazine to look at. send yo musik to Rapbuzz at submit@rapbuzz.co.za they can also give you that exposure.

Now for Fans, Supporters....Yalls task is to just request local hip hop whenver there is a chance to. Mettro fm Total bliss has music on demand...Motsweding fm has Top10...an im pretty sure every radio station has that show that allows you to request a trak....then paid TV, channel O, trace, whatever....get requesting and lets push our own. We need to be the driving force behind our own, be true and loyal. we need to put our own artists first. yeah tke it to the head is the hottest ish rite nw but so is Makasana, and the video is fresh out.

We as the fans of Hip Hop music should make it our priority to rep our city.Use the avenues and mediums available to us to help grow this culture. i would love to hear a reason track on the airwaves, requested by a listener, or an Ill Skillz or Optical on air.....we need to keep at it! Hip Hop is for us and we need to take care!
