Why does it have to be playlisted to be Played????

Okay! i get that there are rules, procedures, policies, politics ,steps, whatever, that needs to be followed before a track can get airplay.
It needs to be cleared, cheked for vulgary, and whatever reasons they put out there. BUT why cant it just be up to the fans, music lovers, the listeners. cant we just call in and DEMAND that song that we heard and love, ask for track number 6 on the cd that aint a single but have it on replay. Cant we as music listeners and buyers just dictate to that radio station as to what song they want to hear. Give Mr Music compiler a task to watch the request list, get talking with the artist and play that song on air, especially if it  aint a single?

There's a lot of great tracks out there that just get lost and stuck in the album sleeve, known only by those that have the album. Radio is far from being all about local content, they still not making our local artists their priority. Our artists still have to go to a radio station and ask for a trak to be play listed, and still have to wait whether their track suitable or not. If its true that the music played on radio is all about what the people are listening to, cant they then just tell them what to play anyway. A lot of material on air is commercial ish by well made artists who cannot even be rejected because they brand is huger than there musik. Music played on radio is conditional, bias and one sided...there are standards to be met, its all about how big u is, how many listeners will your music attrack, aint about pushing the talent nemore, aint about the music nemore, there are conditions.

radio stations break song out, they make tracks popular, its all about on which radio station, on which show you debut yo single...that hype.

There are shows that give a break to new music. yes, listeners need to call in and request more of  local but if i hear a song on an album and it aint a single can't i just ask the station i listen to, to play and popularise the track? we should not have artists, as much as its their work, be the ones to chose for us singles when we the ones buying the music. there should be more shows on radio that break music out, music that might possibly not see the light of day because.....
